Cricket on DirecTV

I used to watch a lot of cricket (like most of the youngsters) back home in India. But, when I came to US in 2000, I tried to follow cricket and lost interest in it after couple of years. Mainly because lack of a channel that covers cricket on TV here.
Well..... things are changing.... if you are a cricket fan like me.... then I have some good news for you.....
DirectTV added Cricket Plus (channel#2024) to its HindiDirect package. It is pretty good channel. Currently there are not many choices to watch cricket in US. DirecTV currently offers CricketTicket Pay Per View package for live cricket games which costs over $300. But, CricketPlus is a free channel included in HindiDirect Package. This channel is suppose to cover highlights of the cricket games including India in SA, Ashes series etc., 2007 World Cup and also have other programs like Cricket classics etc.

Check out their schedule at http://www.cricketplus.tv/.
DirectTV also carries DD India, ETV, Sahara FLMY, MTV Desi and Star channels....

Curtains

I recently got back from India trip.... and brought Curtains for our home.... When we bought our house 18 months ago from previous owner, they already installed blinds. They are all in good condition. So, I wasn't interested in spending money on new curtains. But, my wife thought otherwise.... She want to add some color to our house(all the walls in our house are cream color, Sofas are cream color and Carpet is also light color) So, when we visited India, we bought some curtains. So, we decided that we will spend around Rs. 10,000/- or Rs. 12,000/-. But, After visiting Vijaya Textiles (Kinda big warehouse for textiles in Hyderabad), we were shocked that we could only get the least expensive cloth to fit to our budget. Well...... we ended up spending Rs. 20,000/- for cloth and stitching.... and they weighed 20 kgs...

Couple of weeks ago we bought all hardware necessary to hang the curtains. They cost around $250. It took two days to hang them. Well, we finally have them hanging.... Here are some pictures....
